Comments

I found it to be a little bit challenging at the start as I hadn't done

accounting before. The textbook and tutorial questions helped

me to understand the concepts better. Eventually I didn't find it

hard as I worked through all tutorial questions.

The lectures were engaging. They explained the concept and then

provided some examples which were quite similar to some of the

tutorial questions. I would not have managed without watching

the lectures. Most lectures took less than 2 hours to go through.

Students were expected to attempt a set of questions and in-class

exercises before each tutorial, and the tutor would go over the

answers in detail. The solutions to the tutorial questions were

uploaded by the end of the week, but the solutions to the in-class

exercises were not provided. The tutorials were not compulsory

but I think they were very useful as the tutor went through the

questions step by step. The questions given were similar to the

exam. The tutorials did not cover all questions sometimes but

solutions were given at the end of the week.

Most of the assessments were practical and similar to tutorial

questions. The XERO assignment was an online program. Step by

step instructions were given and students were able to do a

practice one before the real one. The group assignment was

based on a topic that was not in the tutorials and exam. An extra

lecture was provided to explain the concept.

Read the textbook if you want more clarification, do the tutorial

questions and attend the tutorials. Go through the questions

again before the exam.
